July 20, 2008 – Potter’s House Worship Center – Harrisonburg, VA

We had a great time with our friends Pastors Dan & Renee’ Garber at the The Potter’s House

God visited us in the Shenandoah Valley in Harrisonburg VA. Pastors Dan & Renee’ Garber along with The Potter’s House Worship Center provided a warm welcome and powerful praise and worship each night. God spoke as folks lay prostrate before the Lord night after night giving themselves to His Will and Purpose. Our ministry emphasized finding your place, remaining focused on your purpose, and allowing nothing to provide a distraction to your journey. Altar time was a time and place when hearts discovered that God encounters are always the best kind!

Pastors Dan & Renee’ are great friends, and I am pleased and honored to serve as their pastor. We were able to stay a couple of days after the meeting for some “social fellowship” with them. What a great day it was as Sis. Doris and I, along with Pastors Dan & Renee’ took a short trip to the homes of former presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe. Oh yes, we took the tour lots of walking, extremely beautiful surroundings, mountains, trees, some wildlife and some “winding roads.” For this Florida couple it was quite a sight. We ended the day perfectly an extra large filet mignon with potatoes, zucchini, hot bread, lots of butter and some other stuff I’m sure you wouldn’t be interested in.

Our thanks to Pastors Dan & Renee’ along with all the wonderful saints of The Potter’s House Worship Center in Harrisonburg, VA for a wonderful few days. We look forward to seeing you again later this year.

  1. Don’t let the lofty title of “Bishop” fool you.

Bishop Doggett is one of the most approachable leaders I’ve met. He’s surprisingly down to earth, warm, encouraging and unpredictably funny.

However, his years of experience, wisdom and passion for supporting church leaders more than qualify him for the title “Bishop” in the truest sense of the definition found in God’s word.

He jokes often about his own faulty humanity and personal frustrations yet at the same time, he proves God’s grace, patience and love for all of us through uplifting and insightful exhortations to the church.

God’s gift in Bishop Doggett to all of us is the ongoing message of believing, hoping, dreaming and reaching past what we see for the seemingly impossible.

This is a very good thing.

We were blessed through the inspiring messages he preached at the Potter’s House Worship Center on July 20th through July 23rd. He and Sister Doggett are like family to us.
