November Article – “IT’S NO TIME TO PANIC!”

IT’S NO TIME TO PANIC! Just because the national news media is sounding an alarm; there is no reason for the Christian to move into a “panic mode” and begin to live in fear! Refuse to give more attention to the wailing of the television and radio than you give to the Word of God. You must not allow yourself to be tossed by the words of men when the Word of God is the only standard by which we successfully live. If you’re not careful, you’ll get in the habit of making sure you find yourself in front of a television in the evening to check on the stock market, political, and tragic housing news that comes forth. I’m not saying isolate yourself from the news, just be sure you have more input from the Word of God in your life than other voices.

This is a time when prophetic voices should speak as leadership through seasons of difficulty. Put your ear to the mouth of God and hear what He has to say about your present situation. If you can’t hear the certain sound of God’s voice, you will be blown off course and wind up shipwrecked. Come on, get back to the Word and hear the opinion of God on the matter at hand. His Word has been a beacon of hope in seasons of trouble before. It remains your guiding light through every storm. Fix the eyes of your heart on the Word and stay focused on God’s attitude about your difficulty.

When Israel was ready to cross the Jordan River and enter the Promised Land, the Mind of God was made clear to Joshua who was alone and facing an uncertain future. This was the Mind of God on the matter at hand: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8.

God’s thoughts were on “This book of the law..” Joshua had to know that in the greatest challenge of his life; he was to remain focused on “This book of the law.” Joshua was to “meditate” in the book, “speak” the words of the book, and “observe” to do what was in the book. If Joshua would do what God had instructed, he would then have a way that was prosperous, and have good success.

I am convinced that the decisions you make decide the future you will experience. Making quality decisions, based on Bible teachings, will become a force for success in your life. Movement is required for progress to be made. Fight off discouragement and keep following the instructions God provides. Every day given to sorrow and depression come with a high cost. Battle your enemy in every area of life.

The area of greatest conflict will be found in the sowing of your seed. If your enemy can stop your sowing, he can abort your future. Today’s battle is on many fronts but at the root of every attack is the attempt to halt your sowing. In sowing you release a powerful force that has the ability to change the climate of your life. The smallest seed can break the hold of your enemy and provide momentum and freedom to RUN TO YOUR FUTURE! Make the decision to continue sowing your seed.
