September Article – “Transition – Punishment or Promotion”

Transition – Punishment or Promotion?

As “transition” remains a dominating thought in my own life I will continue to provide information on this subject.  Many remain in the process of transition in their own life and can use these Updates to help facilitate the completion of the journey to your next assignment.

The Bible speaks of Joseph, and his dreams, with specificity to the process and its design for his life.  Joseph was a man who was in transition for his entire life.  Don’t let that discourage you.  God used Joseph in a profound way to secure the future of His people.  Transition often reveals the significance of your destiny.

“He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:  Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:  Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.”  Psalms 105:17-19.

The word, “tried” means “to refine.”  Until the time that Joseph’s dream came to pass the commandment (dream) of the Lord tried him, refined him, or improved him.  The process of refinement was not destructive to Joseph, but released and improved qualities in his life that brought him to the manifestation of his dream.

Transition often is a time of refinement.  Fine tuning and improvement will produce a better equipped; and more focused life.  Be ruthless with distractions……they erode the sharpness of the dream.

Understand the transition you are walking through is a series of seasons that prepare you to live, in reality, the dream that now lives only in the corridors of your mind.  Your winter season is not a punishment, but merely preparation for God’s ultimate plan for your life.  Get excited about the ultimate destiny of your life.  Transition is only the vehicle to get you to the ultimate goal.

Keep Your Eyes On Your Harvest:

Your seed is always received with thanksgiving!  This season of our life has been one of the most challenging we’ve ever faced in ministry!  Your obedience to the voice of God regarding sowing is more significant now that it has ever been.

We all face challenges that are uncommon.  How we navigate through these seasons is critical to our future.  We must not abandon the weapons that have brought us victory in our past battles. Refuse to change your belief system and core values, during seasons of struggle and adversity.

The weapons we use are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.”  2 Corinthians 10:4

Seeds are significant to our future.  Be confident as you remain focused on biblical principles in each season of your life.  Be encouraged as you KEEP YOUR EYES ON YOUR HARVEST!
